Workshops are an important part of a photographer's education. The first two photos at the left show club members learning how to photograph glassware at such a workshop. Three other photos are images that were created at that workshop.
The first photo on the right shows several club members "talking shop" at our annual picnic. The photo below it was taken at the picnic (using an infrared filter on a digital camera) of another club member rowing a boat.

About Us
The F:67 Camera Club was established more than 50 years ago by a group of photo enthusiasts from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The club's name is derived from the shipyard's Shop 67 where some of the original members worked.
Since the club's inception, members have participated in the continuous evolution of photography, beginning with the early days of the twin-lens reflex camera and black and white film, to the introduction of color print film, ASA 10 Kodachrome slide film, the emergence of the 35 mm single lens reflex camera as the dominant camera type, the rise of Nikon, the introduction of built-in light meters, the introduction of zoom lenses followed by autofocus lenses and image stabilized lenses, the explosion of digital photography and the death of film and the wet darkroom, and, finally, the fall of Nikon from dominance (pushed aside by Canon). Club members have kept pace with the relentless progression of photographic technology through shared experiences, informal discussions, and formal classes. The F:67 Camera Club was one of the first camera clubs to purchase a digital projector, eliminating the need to convert digital images back to film or prints for display.
The F:67 Camera Club currently meets twice a month (with some exceptions). The first Monday of the month is reserved for slide presentations and digital image projection. The second Monday of the month is reserved for print presentations. On the third Monday of the month a business meeting is held at a member's home.
In addition to slide, digital, and print competitions and presentations, the club holds an Annual Banquet and Salon which includes a competition and awards ceremony. Field trips, education programs, picnics, and a Christmas party are some of the other activities enjoyed by club members.
Membership dues are $22 per year payable by September 1 (prorated for new members not joining in September). Entry forms (required to enter slides, prints, and digital images in club competitions and presentations) are 10 for $3.
If you would like to join the F:67 Camera Club, please submit a Membership Application form.
